The Government of Uttar Pradesh, through a gazette notification dated 19.9.89 created Greater NaIDA for industrial development of the area lying between Dadri and Noida. The Greater New Okhla Industrial Development Authority awarded the work of preparation of Master Plans for Water Supply, Sewerage, Drainage and Solid Waste Disposal in 1991; the master plans were submitted in 1992 which were approved by the Greater NOIDA.

The total area has been divided into 20 zones for supply of water. The total demand of water for drinking and industrial purposes is 154 and 900 mId respectively. Themasterplan provides forconstruction of 37 deep tube wells and other works at the cost of RS.1162.55Iakhs.

The total area has been divided into 5 zones for sewerage. The master plan provides for 51. 60 kms. of sewer lines, 2 pumping stations and one treatment plant at the cost of Rs. 3696 lakhs.

The total area has been divided into 6 zones. The master plan provides for construction of 73.5 km long drains at the cost of 1248 lakhs.

The total cost of the master plan works out to Rs. 8244. 12 lakhs.

Detailed Project Reports pertaining to augmentation of water supply to the towns of Khandwa and Burhanpur costing Rs.600 Lakhs and 450 Lakhs have been prepared. Construction of Central School has been completed 2 schemes of Gwalior Costing Rs.206.57 Lakhs and the work of Boundry Wall Costing Rs.9.97 Lakhs Extention of Class Room Costing Rs.88.92 Lakhs & 12 Nos. of Additional Class Room,Laboraties at Mandsaur Costing Rs.76.77 Lakhs are in different stage of completion.
