This wing of Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam is now self supported. C&DS became the approved construction agency of U.P. Govt. vide G. O. No. 2401/9-3-91-249-C/91 dt. 6th June 1991. Now vide G. O. No. E-8-303/10-06-89/2004 dt. 2nd March 2006. & G.O. No. E-8-157/10-2013-1074/2012 dt. 12-02-2013, Uttar Pradesh Government has removed the cap over the cost of the works and has empowered C&DS to execute the works of all magnitudes.
